how to get involved
Hello from Mark Fermor, Director of the Shropshire Climate Action Partnership.
Shropshire Climate Action Partnership (SCAP) welcomes involvement in the Zero Carbon Shropshire (ZCS) project from everyone who lives or works in Shropshire. If you haven’t already signed our pledge you can do so using the form below. Signing the pledge means you support the work of Zero Carbon Shropshire and want Shropshire to achieve zero carbon by 2030.
Please also invite any local organisation you are involved with to sign up and contribute as an organisation – for example, businesses, community groups, charities, NGOs, parish and town councils, trade unions, schools, colleges and universities.
You might like to tell your family and friends that you support Zero Carbon Shropshire – personal invitations are the best! You can also follow us on our social media accounts and tell an even bigger audience.
Finally, you could go the whole hog and join a working group (they are listed in the form below and further information will be in the welcome email you get when you sign the pledge). Whether you’re a specialist in a working group area or just interested, please join the groups where you can:
Join the discussion and contribute ideas
Contribute creative and graphic design skills
Carry out research and collate evidence
Write up case studies and recommendations
Calculate carbon baselines and projections
Post to social media
Write articles for our newsletter and local and even national newspapers
Update our website
Make videos or podcasts
Do a million and one other things we need help with
Our pledge of support for net zero carbon Shropshire 2030
