Zero Carbon Shropshire Plan
Our aim to achieve net zero by 2030
about the plan
Zero Carbon Shropshire have developed a cohesive action plan for Shropshire, created through the intensive efforts of over 100 volunteers from across all walks of life.
The plan has been supported by an extensive network of local enterprises, community groups, councils, charities and other public and private sector organisations – and it captures the ongoing work in progress our working groups are engaged with as part of our mission to be net zero in Shropshire by 2030.
The working groups involved include Buildings, Carbon Tracking & Reporting, Communication & Engagement, Consumption & Resources, Enterprise Engagement, Energy, Land & Biodiversity, and Transport.
We recognise that, whilst many actions can be taken right now – and this is vital given the climate and ecological emergency we face – there is also a need to further develop this plan and refine our actions based on wider engagement across all Shropshire communities. This version therefore represents the basis for further feedback and refinement.
